FAQ

Straight answers before we scope work.

These are the questions owners usually ask before starting automation, phone workflows, or custom internal software.

If a question is not covered here, send it over. The answer should be useful before any sales conversation happens.

What areas do you serve?

MDO is based in Richland, Washington and serves Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, West Richland, and the surrounding Benton-Franklin area. We also support remote projects when the scope and communication model are a fit.

What if my team isn't very techy?

That is normal. We design the workflow so staff can keep doing familiar work with fewer manual steps. Training and documentation are part of the project when a team-facing tool or process changes.

Is this just for big companies?

Not at all. Most of our clients are small and mid-sized businesses. AI doesn't have to be expensive or overwhelming; it just has to be useful.

How fast do we see results?

Usually in days or weeks, not months or years. Simple automations start saving time right away. Bigger projects (like phone agents) can take longer, but ROI is measured in months. This is about quick, tangible wins, not theoretical somedays.

How does MDO price projects?

MDO prices work by scope, complexity, risk, and business value. We start with discovery, identify the smallest useful proof of value, then quote a practical first phase or project path. We do not publish fixed packages because every automation, integration, AI agent, and custom software project depends on the systems involved.

How do you handle data and security?

We design around the sensitivity of the workflow. That can include least-privilege access, secure API credentials, limited data retention, audit-friendly logging, and clear separation between test and production systems. We talk through security and privacy expectations before implementation.

Can you integrate with our existing tools?

Usually, yes. We look for APIs, exports, imports, databases, webhooks, email workflows, phone system options, or other reliable connection points. If a tool is closed or brittle, we will explain the tradeoffs before building around it.

Do you build AI phone agents?

Yes. MDO builds AI-assisted phone workflows for call capture, routing, intake, follow-up, and customer support. We also offer Duetta for real-time phone translation when multilingual access is the main need.

Do you replace people with AI?

No. The goal is to remove repetitive work, improve response coverage, and give staff better information so they can focus on customers, judgment calls, and growth.

What does MDO stand for?

Depends who you ask. Some say Maximize Digital Operations. Others like Minimize Drudgery & Overhead. Personally, we lean toward More Days Outside. Your business is your baby, but if you're chained to it 80 hours a week, it starts to feel more like Chucky rather than your pride and joy. That's where we step in.

Didn't see your question?

We'll walk through scope, timelines, and success metrics in a quick consult with no fluff, just answers.
