About MDO
Practical technology work, grounded in decades of building real systems.
MDO is led by Aaron Seelye in the Tri-Cities, Washington. The work combines hands-on engineering, business operations experience, and a preference for useful tools over vague strategy.
Why the background matters.
Aaron has spent more than 25 years turning complex technology into tools businesses can actually use. His work has crossed software, internet infrastructure, VoIP, business systems, ag-tech, fleet tracking, internal tools, and practical automation.
That range matters because real business problems rarely stay inside one clean system. A useful fix might touch phones, spreadsheets, databases, staff habits, vendor constraints, customer expectations, and the small workarounds that keep the business moving.
MDO exists for that kind of work: custom software, automation, AI agents, integrations, and systems support that make operations easier without turning the business into a software project.
A career built around practical systems.
Early internet and business systems
Aaron's career began in 1998 running BOSSig, one of the Northwest's larger dial-up internet providers. He later helped Freightliner dealerships and medical offices modernize systems during the Y2K transition, where reliability and plain execution mattered more than theory.
Infrastructure, VoIP, and regional networks
He co-founded Eltopia Communications, a nationwide internet provider and facilities-based CLEC serving Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, then continued building in VoIP infrastructure and business communications.
Ag-tech, fleet tools, and automation
Later work included ag-tech with i.Farm, GPS fleet tracking through Gear Mapper, and internal software for teams that needed clearer data, better reporting, and fewer manual handoffs.
