About MDO

Practical automation and AI delivery led by Aaron Seelye, designed for operators and grounded in measurable outcomes.

We blend business fluency with technical execution so stakeholders stay aligned and projects ship without drama.

Who We Are

MDO was founded to make advanced tech actually useful for businesses that don't have time for buzzwords. I'm Aaron Seelye, based in Tri-Cities, WA, and I've been building in software, hardware, and business strategy for decades. I've seen what works and what doesn't, from GPS tracking fleets to wiring up phone systems, from building apps to designing automations.

I've worked with and around all kinds of businesses, and while their problems aren't always identical, they tend to rhyme. If your business isn't singing the way you'd like, we can help you tune it up.

Aaron Seelye, founder of MDO

Aaron Seelye has spent 25+ years helping businesses make technology actually work for them. From running early internet and phone networks at Eltopia Communications to launching ag-tech and fleet-tracking ventures like i.Farm and Gear Mapper, his career has always focused on solving real-world problems with practical solutions. As founder of MDO, he now helps organizations apply automation and AI that deliver measurable results without unnecessary complexity.

What We Value

  • Local partnership: You're not calling a faceless support queue, you're talking to locals.
  • Clarity: No jargon, no smoke and mirrors. We explain it straight.
  • Results: ROI you can measure. Not "innovation theater," not hype.

That's the MDO way.

About the Founder

MDO founder Aaron Seelye has spent more than two decades turning complex technology into tools that actually work for businesses. His career began in 1998, running one of the Northwest’s largest dial-up internet providers, BOSSig, back when getting online meant listening to modems sing. From there, he helped a chain of Freightliner dealerships and medical offices modernize their systems during the Y2K transition, and later co-founded Eltopia Communications, a nationwide internet provider and facilities-based CLEC serving Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

That mix of hands-on engineering and real-world business experience shaped his philosophy: technology should quietly solve problems, not create new ones. After ventures in VoIP infrastructure with Eltopia, and ag-tech innovation with i.Farm, Aaron went on to found Gear Mapper, a GPS fleet-tracking company, before launching MDO, a consulting practice dedicated to making automation and AI genuinely useful for operators, not just executives.

Based in Washington’s Tri-Cities, Aaron continues to blend technical rigor with local partnership, helping organizations deploy automation that’s measurable, maintainable, and built to last.
